Update: When I read the piece this morning from John Aravosis, I suddenly had the image of Edward G Robinson toward the end of the film Soylent Green. Not for the human/food aspect, but for the concept that the perceived weaker elements of a society should willingly abdicate themselves for the good of the many. At least that’s the impression I took away from this:
